Dear Potential Associate Member:
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to provide you some information on becoming an Associate Member of the Industrial Truck Association. We would certainly welcome an application from you to join many of your competitors and customers who find membership to be beneficial.
Our programs are grouped into three broad categories — engineering, statistical and educational. You, or senior level managers that you designate, will be invited to attend all meetings and to participate fully in each of our programs. The meetings present an excellent opportunity for you, not only to meet with your peers, but also to visit personally with your current and potential customers.
In addition to the camaraderie generated by participating in meetings, let me detail the specific programs and benefits. You will receive two factory level reports and the WITS (World Industrial Truck Statistics Report) monthly orders and WITS Quarterly Shipments.
If you require more information you could purchase more detailed statistics for classes 1-5. The cost ranges from $7,800 – $13,000 depending on your dollar volume of business assessed at $0.65/$1,000 of shipments to the industrial truck marketplace.
The detailed reports, as their name implies, give a much more complete picture of the market. I would be happy to send you a spreadsheet showing report examples.
In addition to our statistical program, we are also engaged, through our General Engineering Committee, in writing recommended practices that are submitted to the American National Standards Institute for adoption. This gives the manufacturers an opportunity to speak about the technical problems endemic to performance and design safety.
